 Ekofrisa, UAB is one of the main producers of groats in the Baltic States. The company buys grains directly from Lithuanian farmers and process them into groats, flakes and flour. Ekofrisa, UAB began its activities in 2003 in Prienai District.
The company pays special attention to the quality of goods and safety. Since 2007, the company has been certified by Ekoagra, PE and possess the certification to produce various organic groats, flour and flakes. In 2014, the company implemented and certified food security management system according to ISO 22000. Since 2015, the company possesses Halal certification proving that the foods produced by the company are compliant with the most important Islamic nutrition rules.
Ekofrisa, UAB exports its production to various countries, such as Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Spain, France, Belgium, Croatia, Sweden, Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, USA, Australia and many others. The company’s export consists of more than 80 % of the production made.
The company is constantly participating in EU-funded projects and receives funds to improve the basis of production and participate in international exhibitions and business missions.

All products made by Ekofrisa, UAB may be produced according to the needs of the specific customer and packed in various packages in weight ranges from 100 g to 1,000 kg, such as doy-pack bags, OPP bags, cooking bags, paper bags, wholesale bags or big bags.

Production of buckwheat and other groats

Ekofrisa, UAB is one of the largest producers of buckwheat in the Baltic States. Production capacity of the company is 10,000 tons of buckwheat per year. The company also produces barley, pearl groats, wheat, millet, peas, semolina, corn groats, flour and flakes.

Organic groats and flour

Since 2007, the special place in the production range of the company belongs to organic groats and flour. Unique groats producing technology allows reaching high-quality results. Ekofrisa, UAB buys the raw materials necessary for production from Lithuanian farmers, thus ensuring the highest quality of the products. Organic groats do not contain pesticides, chemical additives, radioactive materials and mucus.

Organic crackers

In 2017, the company launched production line of organic crisps called “GLUTEN FREE”. These crackers are characteristic of their unique taste and special attention to eco-friendliness. It is a perfect source of proteins and fibre materials.

Buckwheat shell linens and toys

Buckwheat shell products are appreciated for their air permeability, as they do not cause sweating and allergy. Mattresses and pillows adapt to the shape of head and neck, provide a stable support to the body and are perfect for prophylaxis of cramps. Buckwheat shell – filled toys are a great gift for a baby which gives a feeling of comfort and happiness. The toy may be used as the measure to reduce pain and fall asleep.

Buckwheat hulls

Buckwheat hulls are a perfect decorative material to nurture the environment. Hulls help to preserve the moisture in the soil, protect the plants from temperature fluctuations and prevent from light; thus it prevents the growth of weeds, does not acidify the soil and allows breathing of the roots of the plants.
