Lithuanian Food Exporters Association (LitMEA)

LitMEA consists of the food companies, representing different industrial
sectors, both in domestic and foreign markets not holding each others direct competitors and seeing
the possibilities of mutual trust and cooperation.

Mission. To help its members to improve the competitiveness in the foreign markets, bringing together business
opportunities, skills and contacts.

Cooperation priorities of the Association members:

• Full cooperation during participation in the exhibitions (participation in the Lithuanian and the European
• Union-funded projects, joint participation in exhibitions, information and other assistance to each other);
• Cooperation with Lithuanian institutions, caring about export matters. Participation in joint export promotion projects with other associates and business structures.
• Co-operationin finding new partners in foreign markets,exchange of mutually beneficial information.
• Creation of common marketing tools and joint dissemination of information about the Association members, target partner-oriented search.

Target partners interesting the Association members

• Food product and beverage wholesalers willing to represent the Association members in export markets;
• Food product retailers, looking for suppliers and manufacturers for their networks;
• Hotel, restaurant and catering (HoReCa) representatives;
• Food product manufacturers who are looking for cooperation opportunities with other similar producers;
• Associations and other business structures, tying the companies involved in similar activities or tying
  merchants;
• Other companies and individuals having mutually beneficial cooperation proposal.

Achievements of Lithuanian Food Exporters Association (LitMEA)

• Over 300 million euros in annual sales, including about 60 per cent in foreign markets;
• Exports to more than 40 foreign countries around the world;
• Production export volume growth seeking about 20 per cent.
